JAA Training Organisation Hosts Representatives of the ALBATROS Project

JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) was pleased to welcome representatives of the ALBATROS project to its offices recently. The ALBATROS project is an ambitious and forward-looking initiative funded by Horizon Europe, aiming to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the aviation sector today.

Coordinated by the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR), the ALBATROS consortium brings together leading organisations from across the aviation value chain. This includes research institutions, industry manufacturers, operators, and standardisation bodies, all working collaboratively to strengthen the resilience of aviation systems and infrastructure.

A key focus of the project is adapting to extreme weather events and facilitating technological transitions - particularly the integration of new energy carriers such as hydrogen.

As a proud consortium partner, JAA TO is contributing its expertise in the development of specialised training programmes designed to anticipate and address the evolving competency needs of aviation professionals.

Through this collaboration, JAA TO seeks to support the sector in its transition toward safer, more sustainable, and more resilient operations.The recent meeting was attended on behalf of the ALBATROS project by Daphne Van Dulst and Timo Nijman, while Eric Schoonderwoerd and Jaafar Blaibel, MSc, represented JAA TO.

The partners engaged in fruitful discussions on advancing the project’s objectives and further strengthening cooperation.Through initiatives such as ALBATROS, JAA TO is proud to contribute to innovation within the aviation industry, helping to ensure its preparedness, safety, and resilience for the future.

In addition, JAA TO provides advisory services, knowledge solutions, training consultancy and assistance with capacity building for (aviation) training departments.
