JAA Training Organisation Strengthens Its Commitment to Capacity Building and Regulatory Excellence at ECAC DGCA/165 in Belgrade

On 4 December, the 165th meeting of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) brought together Directors General of Civil Aviation from across Europe in Belgrade. The event once again confirmed its importance as a key platform for strategic dialogue, regulatory cooperation, and alignment on shared priorities among ECAC’s 44 Member States.

Hosted by the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, the meeting provided an opportunity for reflection on current challenges and for forward-looking discussions on the future of European civil aviation. Participants focused on strengthening aviation safety, advancing environmental objectives, enhancing operational resilience, and ensuring greater regulatory coherence across Europe’s highly interconnected airspace.

As an Associated Body of ECAC, the JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting these priorities through high-quality training programmes, targeted capacity-building initiatives, and practical knowledge solutions. JAA TO continues to support civil aviation authorities and industry partners in navigating an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory environment.

JAA TO was represented in Belgrade by Paula V. de Almeida, LL.M., M.Ed., Chief Executive Officer, and Murat Yalcin, Director of Sales, Marketing & Operations. During the meeting, JAA TO presented its planned training activities for 2025, highlighting how its programmes are designed to address emerging regulatory, operational, and strategic needs across the European aviation sector.

Through its continued engagement with ECAC and its Member States, JAA TO remains steadfast in its mission to empower aviation professionals with the competencies, skills, insight, and vision required to meet future challenges. By doing so, the organisation contributes to the development of a safer, more resilient, and future-ready European civil aviation system.
